Director of Operations
Ahh-tism Smiles was envisioned by Mironda Engstrom and Cayla Husak, two Minnesota moms with firsthand experience navigating the challenges of dental visits for their neurodivergent children. Frustrated by the lack of accommodations and understanding from dental staff, they knew something had to change. Mironda, a dedicated dental hygienist with over 20 years of experience, combined her professional expertise with her passion as a parent to create a solution. Together, Cayla and Mironda are committed to bridging the gap in accessible dental care, ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and understood.
