"Visiting the dentist is often one of those necessities that’s harder for individuals with autism. I know it is for our son. And often, finding a dentist that will even see our kids is the most challenging part. My son is 12 years old and we have struggled with this for his whole life. Today, Chalet Dentalcare in St. Paul, MN hosted an Ahh-tism Smiles event. Over 20 families attended. And I will say, it was unbelievable. We were met with smiles and acceptance. We were invited in and our son’s struggles were seen but not judged. I watched kids run by. I heard nervous screams. I also saw laughter, patience, and relieved parents. It was just phenomenal. I am so thankful for places like this."
